Matthew Condrad is the director of Tenant Assist which is representing the residents in their legal action against Pendleton Together and the council.
“The flammable cladding exposed tenants to an intolerable risk, and fire hazards remain in existence,” he said.
“Removal of the cladding also has also caused extreme cold as it provided insulation.
“The heating systems are also designed to operate at a low temperature and depended upon the cladding to retain heat.
“Poorly insulated windows are also allowing heat to escape, as well as water penetration in some instances. There are also electrical safety issues.
